Procurement Manager (European remit)

Due to our ongoing business growth we’re hiring a Procurement Manager into a brand-new role to further develop our procurement strategies and build on the processes already in place. It’s a really exciting time for us.
Reporting to the Finance & Operations Director, the Procurement Manager will have significant business impact. Key responsibilities include:
- Procurement Strategy Development across all channels – product, freight & warehousing
- Product Cost Management – across each product lifecycle
Our new Procurement Manager will have a successful track record in procurement, supported by a CIPS qualification (or studying towards), and educated to degree/HND or equivalent, plus good IT literacy. Food sector experience is desirable; and Bakery industry experience advantageous. Experience working in an international organisation with an overseas supplier base is essential.
With strong commercial acumen, you will favour an intelligent and sensitive approach to developing long term supplier partnerships. Technically strong and customer focused your approach will be pragmatic and results orientated. A good communicator who can flex to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team. Second language skills (especially French) would be an advantage. Some European travel will be required.
