Parliament procures major and complex works contracts and a wide range of other goods and services in a public sector context requiring the highest standards of compliance and value for money. This job sits in the Procurement Policy and Compliance Team which ensures that proper processes, procedures and policies are in place to ensure money is spent compliantly and in a way that ensures value for money when letting and managing contracts with third party suppliers.

The Role 

The main objective of the role is to provide support to the Procurement Policy and Compliance Team and to assist with the monitoring, auditing and reporting on governance and compliance processes and the production of management information. 

The Person 

The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience: 

Experience of providing administrative support to a busy team

Proven ability to develop rapport with colleagues and contacts

Well organised, methodical approach to work with an ability to prioritise and multitask

Ability to learn quickly and exercise initiative and seek ways to improve service

Ability to work quickly under pressure maintaining a high standard of accuracy and detail
