Permanent and Fixed-Term Contracts Available.
Ofgem is committed to making a positive difference for energy consumers through effective regulation of the market and close working with suppliers to ensure sustainable energy for consumers and businesses in the UK.
We now have a number of opportunities for experienced and professionally qualified professionals to help promote and embed high quality procurement and contract management within our organisation, ensuring high quality outcomes and value for money. Each of the roles will work within a specific directorate, working closely with Executive Directors and other colleagues to build up a clear picture of current and anticipated business needs and draw up a comprehensive procurement plan. You’ll ensure that procurement programmes follow best practice guidelines and meet all regulatory requirements. You’ll also play a key role in the creation and embedding of a centre of excellence for contract management, training colleagues across Ofgem to enhance expertise across the organisation.
Alongside membership of CIPS, you’ll need to offer comprehensive experience of procurement and contract management, particularly within professional services. Your technical knowledge of current procurement regulations should be complemented by the ability to foster positive relationships with colleagues from varied professional specialisms and add value through a business partnering model. Strong commercial skills and the ability to establish trust and professional credibility quickly with colleagues will be key.
