We’re looking for a category manager to focus on the maintenance and engineering spend across the generation business, and with a station the size of 1000 professional football pitches that’s a decent size spend to manage. Your focus will be to take ownership of category strategies and spend solutions, develop relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, identify risks and opportunities, implementing and managing good strong commercial contracts as well as delivering real commercial value, lead on performance reviews and have a direct impact on our bottom line and contributing to the business’ success.

You’ll need to have previous experience working in a category management approach to procurement. You’ll have a strong commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to problem solving. You’ll be MCIPS level 6 qualified and have proven experience in process improvement, finding cost savings and detailed management of contracts.
