Procurement Manager (Common Categories)
We are looking for a Procurement Manager to join our team in Guernsey.
As Manager of Common Categories, you will play a key role in leading and supporting procurement activity across the States of Guernsey. We need someone to work closely with stakeholders across all service areas to help build strategies for a range of different categories and support the delivery of individual requirements delivered through appropriate sourcing methods and contracting processes.
You will be responsible for implementing their strategies through effective procurement execution, ensuring value for money is achieved, establishing structures which enable the contracts and suppliers to be managed effectively and enabling systems to be utilised appropriately to aid the delivery of efficiencies and savings.
Guernsey is not restricted by either the EU procurement directives or UK Public Contract Regulations so, whilst we follow best practice and core procurement principles, we enjoy the freedom to be more flexible and responsive than other public sector bodies. You will have the opportunity to influence and drive procurement strategies and projects across a diverse portfolio encompassing services from education, healthcare, ports, and home affairs through to investment services, economic development and reform programmes.
