Head of Vendor Manager - Growing Media Firm - Milton Keynes - £70,000 + 30% bonus

The last three years have seen a dramatic shift from Indirect Procurement performing a solely administrative function to a strategic and far-reaching one across the global enterprise, and the team is now in of a need of a commercially astute Head of Vendor Management across Indirect categories. This truly global organisation is a relationship driven organisation and they are looking for the successful applicant Initiate and build long term relationships with key vendors and driving continuous improvements in behaviour and performance

The successful individual will have in depth experience managing complex contracts with some of the world's largest Indirect vendors (across IT, FM, HR, Professional Services etc.). This mature working environment will allow you to work from home 2-3 days a week, whilst working on a working on a truly international remit, covering both mature and emerging markets (APAC, EMEA, LATAM).

As Head of Vendor Manager you will enjoy:-

  • Design best-in-class supplier relationship management frameworks and methodologies to sustain value throughout the life of the contracts
  • Lead negotiations with key Indirect vendors (e.g. Oracle, SAP, Microsoft, EY, Deloitte, CBRE etc.)
  • Novate multimillion contracts and consolidate suppliers in order to reduce spend and implement efficient procurement practices
  • Work with board level stakeholders to gain an in depth understanding of the requirements before translating this to the service vendors
  • Lead and upskill a high performing ambitious team, with plans to grow the team soon

The successful candidate must be able to:-

  • Previous experience of rolling out a large-scale Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) / Vendor Management programme to maximise value for a Fortune 500 / FTSE 100 enterprise
  • Excellent negotiation skills, with a CV that demonstrates savings / commercial opportunities generated as a result
  • Executive stakeholder engagement / management
  • Degree & MCIPS (preferable but not essential)
