Strategic Category Manager - Clinical Procurement - London - £55k - £60k + Bonus

Procurement has been pivotal to my client's success in recent times. Their expertise in procurement and supply chain is highly sought-after and is the reason why they are winning more contracts on a monthly basis and on course for record growth.

They are looking for a clinical procurement specialist to manage key supplier relationships, as well as working with senior stakeholders such as the Finance, Operations and Supply Chain directors, this is a great platform for you to take on the responsibility of managing a growing team and lead on complex and high-value procurement projects.

What will the role entail?

First and foremost, you will take the lead on complex procurement projects across multiple sites in the near vicinity.

It will be your responsibility to create the clinical procurement strategy and work with the Head of Clinical Procurement and your team to deliver a high-quality service and excellent value to your stakeholders and their patients.

When managing projects it will be in your remit to work end-to-end and vet potential suppliers, negotiate robust SLA agreements and manage the Tier 1 suppliers.

You will have regular contact with senior level internal and external stakeholders such as the directors of Finance, Supply Chain and Operations as well as the Head of Clinical Procurement. As such they are looking for a polished procurement professional capable of managing and engaging all relevant stakeholders in a professional manner.

Key requirements:

  • Candidates must have experience sourcing/procuring clinical items such as daily consumables, scanners, oncology, radiology, surgical and more
  • Candidates must have exceptional skills managing clinical NHS categories with a strong grasp of OJEU regulations
  • Experience line-managing teams
  • History of developing strategies to implement new process and services
  • Degree level 2.1 or equivalent and/or procurement-related qualification
  • MCIPS advantageous
