Do you have Public and Private sector procurement experience? We have a new and interesting opportunity at a time when considerable development and investment is happening across our Estate.

About the role

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Procurement and Commercial professional to join our STFC Estates Services team. The role will be focused on Estates and Construction and will provide expert input to the Estates Services, defining and implementing a commercial strategy, as well as contract management.

You will be the lead regarding Estates internal commercial and procurement matters, working closely with STFC and UKRI Procurement to ensure governance and compliance in contract management, procurement and corporate objectives. You will help to resolve internal procurement queries for the whole of STFC Estates and support the Head of Procurement to manage the relationship with our shared service centre, UKSBS.

We are looking for someone to lead the commercial relationship for our construction and facilities management contracts and ensure they remain aligned with the set financial plans. You will be required to review our processes to identify areas for continuous improvement and identify benchmark opportunities within contracts through innovation and collaboration with our contractors.

You will have proven ability to negotiate and manage supplier relationships, whilst providing a high level of customer services.

This role requires someone with excellent communication skills who is comfortable liaising with stakeholders at all levels of the business. You will need to be flexible in your approach to your work and be comfortable working under pressure.
