Procurement Manager- Packaging £45k-£55k- for leading FMCG Organisation- Surrey

This well established Food Retailer are looking for an experienced packaging category manager to come join their globally recognised and continually expanding procurement function.

This packaging procurement role will see you:

Develop and execute procurement strategies
Control and limit exposure to price volatility
Planning and Managing lead projects to drive cost/material reduction and performance improvement
Select and manage a flexible supply base to support current and future requirements
Cost forecasting and negotiate pricing, along with identifying possible cost reductions

In order to succeed in your application for the procurement role you will need:

A high level of commercial awareness, supplier management skills and knowledge of supplier processes
Proven track record in category management within packaging on a national or international basis.
To be a strong strategic thinker who is able to communicate effectively and openly at a senior level.
To have demonstrated strong project and change management skills
Proficiency or fluency in another European language would be an advantage but not essential
Strong decision making
Proven leadership skills.
Significant purchasing experience
Degree calibre or equivalent and CIPS accreditation preferable
